![]() So, my question regarding the stock control methods. Once I get around to actually completing this restoration process I'd like to take manual control of the boost regulation so that I can run a few more lbs than stock, as well as open up the engine's breathing (intake, exhaust, cam, etc) I know that by doing this the VNT assembly has a difficult time regulating the boost pressure, so part of my plan was to run an external wastegate in conjunction with the turbo to keep things under control. I plan to restore it in the coming years and I was going to try and grab one of the last remaining new VNT turbo units I have seen for sale from various vendors. The reason I am searching for this information is that I am the proud owner of a 90 VNT Daytona that unfortunately has not run in many years. I haven't found any definitive answers but it does seem like some of you on this board have done some research into this. I stumbled into an old thread regarding the VNT boost control system and have spent the day trying to read up on how the factory ecu controls the boost. ![]()
